Tattoos have been a part of fashion perhaps even longer than clothing has. They are used to make a permanent statement on a person’s body. Lately people have realized that a tattoo does not have to be big and bold to get noticed. You can use a tiny tattoo to make a strong statement.
Tattoos that are smaller than normal are often a good choice for people who are not allowed to have visible tattoos in the workplace. You can hide them on the back of your neck, on your feet or on the inside of your wrist. Other popular places to get a small tattoo are on fingers, toes, ears or even the inner side of the lips.
There are many common tattoos such as flowers, butterflies, hearts and Chinese symbols. If you are looking for something more creative, consider the beauty of every day objects. Punctuation, for example, can be beautiful in isolation. A question mark may symbolize a period of uncertainty or embracing your curiosity. An exclamation point may be a display of your quick wit. On the wrist, you can use both wrists together to create complementing or contrasting tattoos. Consider the significance of quotes on either wrist with yourself in the center. Punctuation make a great tattoo because it can fit anywhere. You could have a piece of punctuation on each finger and only the most discerning eye would notice.
You can also use nontraditional colors to create a unique tattoo. White tattoos have gained popularity because they are subtle yet beautiful. Look for a white ink that has a bit of shimmer to it and it may only appear in certain light.
Part of what makes a tattoo a wonderful expression is that it is meaningful to the wearer. You might have a word, a phrase or an image that means nothing to others but holds great significance in your life. What you perceive is what makes it beautiful.
