Making a difference; it’s one of those things few of us consider when it comes to ourselves. Sure, we might think of Martin Luther King and his “I have a Dream” speech, or we might consider our next door neighbor who attends every political caucus that comes around. We may even consider the lady who shares her opinion in the newspaper, or the guy that’s never afraid to share what he’s been doing in his life, even if he’s just met someone.

We believe we’re different. And that’s where we’re wrong. We can even make a difference without speaking out loud. Here’s how:

What you wear may show someone where you work or what you enjoy for entertainment and initiate a conversation to remember. The color of your hair might springboard a great visit.

What you share in a letter to a roommate or family member may be treasured for a lifetime without you even knowing it or something written in your journal might be shared with a friend who is struggling.

You may be in the midst of an online school research, and find a college online at eLearners.com; you might share what you’ve learned by sending your friend information about your chosen school and focus. Perhaps your friend just needs a little boost to get going.

Perhaps you help someone clean up their yard, or hand a sack of food to a homeless man.

Making a difference can mean speaking up, but when it doesn’t, the power may be even stronger. Just think of the last time someone did something for you without saying a word.

It can be hard to manage a dress code, especially when you want to express yourself through your makeup or tattoos. The good news is that if you are creative enough, you may be able to get a bit of your sense of fashion and style in. Sometimes, you do have to be creative to pull it off, though.

Tips for Expression

Take a look at a few of the fun ways you can express yourself. Even when a dress code is in place, there are ways to work around it.

Know the limits. Find out what the dress code is. Read it. If you have questions, ask them so there is no confusion later on.

Choose clothing items that fit your fashion sense but do not break the rules. For example, choose makeup in the colors you like, but do not wear too much of it, if that is not allowed.

Are you struggling to find something that works? If you cannot find clothing that fits your sense of style, create your own. Creating your own clothing can be a fun learning experience. Learn how to do it so you can allow your expression to come through.

You can learn to make everything from baby costumes to prom dresses and even clothing for your toddlers that fit your style, even if there is a dress code to follow. You can also find a variety of products ready-made through specialty providers online.

Having fun with your clothing is something you can often do. However, most of the time, doing so in a way that does not offend others is important.

If you live on the edge of fashion; that is, you don’t worry about what everyone else is wearing, you have your own style, and then that’s fine. You probably have a lot of fun.

However, you know that there are times when your extreme fashion tastes simply cannot be flaunted. You may not like it, but that doesn’t change it. So, you look for ways to continue expressing yourself even when faced with dress codes or times when you have to tone it down, at least a little.

Fortunately, there are ways you can do this without feeling as though you’re sacrificing your tastes. Here are a few examples of what you can do.

If you have tattoos, and the dress code of your school or workplace states that these must be covered, or if you have multiple piercings and only earrings or the very smallest, barely noticeable jewelry is allowed, simply come up with some creative ways to adhere to the policies.

For visible tattoos, keep a light wrap handy—something that will sufficiently cover the tattoo but won’t make you uncomfortable in warmer temperatures. Or simply use a large bandage to cover visible tattoos.

Remove piercings if your dress code dictates it. You can wait until the last minute before you walk in the door in the morning to do this, and re-insert them as soon as you are out the door in the afternoon. The holes won’t grow up in that short amount of time, and knowing that you have your jewelry with you ready to be popped back in will make you happy.

Every person is unique, and as a unique person, you are entitled to make any fashion statement that you like. The clothing that you wear, the way that you style your hair, your piercings and tattoos, and every other aspect of your physical appearance can come together to create any fashion statement of your choosing.

Making a Fashion Statement

How you display your fashion sense is ultimately up to you, but you should be aware of the fact that you can really say a lot about who you are. When you wear name brand clothing such as LRG Clothes or style your hair in a trendy way, you are giving the people around you a little bit of insight into who you are. You are making a statement or sharing a message with what you are wearing and how you conduct yourself visually.

Fashion is an art form, a medium through which you can tell people about who you are, or share a specific message. Use hair styles, hair colors and cuts, accessories and shoes, purses, tops and bottoms, and other aspects of your fashion sense to create a message, whether that message is to set a trend or following one. It is simply important to realize that you can treat clothing as more than simply staying warm or covering up in a comfortable way. What you wear can also be used to create and share messages, to lend insight into personality, to set trends and to follow trends depending on how you are feeling that day.

All of us have, at some point of time or the other, contemplated about extreme fashion accessories to improve our style quotient. We often have thought of going in for a tattoo or a piercing to prove that we have it to be the most fashionable individual around. Some of us have gone ahead and taken the idea to its logical conclusion while others developed cold feet and preferred to stay in the background.

Well, there is no harm in trying out extreme fashion every once in awhile. If you are worried about its permanent consequences, you can go in for temporary options. Body piercing is a very cool option where you can easily create the illusion that you have pierced your skin without bringing the needle close to your skin.

You can make use of press-on accessories that will stick to your body as if they have been pierced and fitted. These accessories can be removed without any difficulty. If you want to follow the latest trend of having the name of your spouse tattooed on your body, you can go in for a temporary tattoo that will fade as time goes by. This is particularly useful if you want to give a tribute to your boyfriend or girlfriend but are not confident of the permanency of your relationship.

Another advantage of going in for press on accessories is that there is very little health risk involved. A tattoo done from professional center will be safe but done from any other place may lead to infections or others such diseases. It is best to start with temporary accessories before choosing permanent extreme fashion solutions.

With different seasons come different styles and color palates. Fall and winter are known for their dark warm shades, while spring and summer bring bright and happy colors. Finding a good nail polish that won’t chip is not as easy as it sounds though, especially if you want nail colors that will make your nails stand out and look great.

The number one nail color for summer is any shade of pink, especially in bright neon and summery hues. On the runway, bright pink and salmon were popular colors. NYC brand nail polish, Lime Crime and Expressions are great brands to buy that won’t chip.

The second most popular color for summer is bright orange, which can be found in any shade from flame orange to tangerine. Oranges are great for beach days. Make sure you look for a waterproof top coat to go over your nails to save them from water damage and chipping.

The third top nail color for summer is any shade of bright, eye-catching yellow. Butter yellows and sunshine colors were seen paired with sundresses and shorts and tee combos on the runway this season. Go to coupon sites like www.offers.com to find coupons for money off a manicure and pedicure at your local salon.

Bright colors have always been the pick for summer, but this season bright colors are paired with slick top coats and a specific type of overcoat called “crackle,” which makes your color look shimmery and cracked above the bottom coat color.

If you’re like most people, you know that often it is the accessories that make the most impact on fashion trends. Even last year’s styles can look fresh and updated with the right jewelry.

For many people, choosing the right accessories includes body art—either tattooing or piercing. Some people are in a position to “go all out”, getting as many tattoos or piercings as they wish, while others have to be slightly more discreet. There are accessories available that fit both styles.

You Don’t Have to Spend a Lot to be Trendy

Purchasing accessories, such as jewelry, shoes, purses or bags, and other things, does not have to be expensive. You can find bargains online as well as in second hand or consignment shops. You can use your Reach card prepaid Visa at almost all of these places so you don’t have to worry about spending cash, writing a check, or using another credit card.

When you write a check or use a credit card that is not a prepaid card, you may be tempted to spend more than you have. With a prepaid card, this is less likely to happen because you know exactly how much you can spend.

And when it comes to getting tattoos or piercings, it’s all right to comparison shop but you want to make sure the store uses good sanitation and hygiene methods. Don’t risk an infection just to save a few dollars. Instead, look for those places that are well-maintained but still offer services within the range you have set on your card.

Spring reminds people of rejuvenation and renewal. Flowers bloom, the sun shines brighter, and people have a general feeling of contentment, knowing that cold winter days are gone, at least for a while.

In keeping with the warm feelings of spring, you can go lighter and feel breezier, with hairstyles and makeup as well. You can try something new without making drastic changes by going lighter and brightening up the colors in your makeup bag.

Give hair body and fullness

Even if you rarely cut your hair, using a razor to trim off split ends, or even out the bottom by half an inch, will add a look of fullness to your hair.

Go lighter

Whether your hair is light brown, chestnut brown, or ash blonde, adding caramel or gold highlights all over your head strategically, gives the appearance of the sun shining through your hair.

Blush and Go

Like the flowers that bloom when spring arrives, you can go brighter with pink blush for the cheeks and rosy red on the lips, for a warm and bright sun-kissed look.

Accessorize accessorize!

Large, brightly colored hats and tote bags are perfect for complimenting a sundress or a casual sport top and shorts. Mix and match the colors, because the coming of the warm weather means that anything goes.

Wear just the right necklace or bracelet to accent the look you want to achieve. Whether going out on the town on a warm spring night, or dining at your favorite restaurant, choose jewelry to match your mood, and your outfit.

Be ready for spring showers and bring along an umbrella so you are ready for anything.

Many people today turn to mineral makeup as their savior. We see celebrities, friends, and family members using mineral makeup instead of the common makeup they used to use. What makes mineral makeup so good and why are so many people using it?

Many people use mineral makeup for the obvious reason: because it looks good. Mineral makeup blends well with skin and gives you a natural looking skin tone while covering up blotches and imperfections that we so easily avoid.

Mineral makeup is made up of natural crushed minerals combined into powders to create foundation, blush, eye shadow, and other types of makeup. Some of these minerals act as a natural sunblock, blocking rays for up to SPF 20.

It has been reported that mineral makeup is good for people that suffer from acne. Because mineral makeup does not clog pores, is oil free and anti-inflammatory, it is better for your skin than regular makeup. Because of this, you can use concealer without irritating those areas, and they will heal faster than if you use a regular concealer. People have also reported that they have slept with the mineral makeup on and have not woken up with breakouts.

Mineral makeup is great for sensitive skin because it does not contain alcohol and dyes like most makeup does. While some makeup can produce allergic reactions, there is little allergic reaction that occurs with people while using mineral makeup.

Keep in mind that different companies use different ingredients so not every type of mineral makeup is the same. If you have allergic reactions to other makeup, you should research the ingredients to different types of mineral makeup before you purchase it and possibly see a dermatologist.

When you’re thinking about getting a piercing, you’ve probably heard many horror stories. You don’t want an inexperienced piercer to prick your skin and cause infection. What can you do to get a safe piercing?

Go to a professional piercer. There are many places where you don’t need a license to pierce, but that can be very dangerous. Avoid places in the mall where you will usually find less experienced piercers.

There are many piercings where, if you hit the wrong nerve, a lot more damage can occur than just an infection. Make sure that you are going to someone with experience and don’t do it yourself. You can go to the place you are looking into and talk to the piercer. Let them know you are looking into getting a piercing and that you want to know about their experience and why you should go to them. If they can tell you, and even show you samples of their work or explain their procedure to you, they can probably be trusted.

Make sure they are using sterile needles and jewelry before they pierce you. They should open the package in front of you so that you know the equipment is sterile. The jewelry should also come from a sealed package.

Gloves should also be used when you are getting a new piercing. It can be dangerous if things aren’t sterile, and the piercer should take every precaution they can. They should be wearing gloves when they give you your piercing.

Getting a new piercing can be scary. That’s why you should make sure the person performing the procedure is experienced and is using sterile equipment. Don’t risk your health for a cheap piercing.

We use makeup to attract certain features of our face and make them stand out. When we use eye makeup we are trying to make our eyes bigger and give it that little extra to make them stand out. Follow these tips to apply your eye makeup just right.

Begin with your eyeliner. Pick a color that will compliment you. For lighter skin, try a brown, and for darker skin, try a black. For your top eyelid begin at the inside of your lid near your nose and trace just above your eyelashes as close as you can get until you get to the other side of your eyelid. Begin at the middle of your lower lid as close to your eye as you can get. Trace to the outside of your eye and connect the two lines. Smudge the bottom a bit with a q-tip or your finger.

Next you apply your eye shadow. Pick three different shades that are the same color. You usually want to go with a natural color such as a brown. The lightest color goes on your eye lid. Apply the medium color goes in the crease of your eye. The darkest color goes on the line of your eye lashes. Once you have applied each color, blend in with a blush brush starting at the crease of your eye and brushing toward the outside. Depending on your eye shape, you may want to experiment with the colors.

The last step is your mascara. Make sure there are not clumps on your brush when you use it. Begin with the upper side of your top lashes. Start at your eyelid and brush away from your face. Then apply mascara the same way to the bottom side of your upper lashes. Then apply to the bottom lashes by once again starting at the lid and brushing away from your face.

Many of us claim our hair is naturally fizzy or wild, which is true. It can be difficult to tame your hair and make it go the way we want it. Here are some tips to help you tame your hair.

There are plenty of ways to help tame the frizz. First of all, before washing your hair, brush it out. This will be easier to wash every piece of hair and get conditioner to every strand. Don’t put your hair under hot water, as this increases frizz. Rinse your hair with cool water.

Try not to blow-dry your hair, because, on most people, it increases your frizz. If you must blow-dry it, use a low setting and set it to cool. This will take longer to dry, but your hair will become more manageable once it is dry. Once your hair dries, apply a leave-in conditioner. This is a spray conditioner that helps tame your frizz throughout the day.

Use a deep conditioner once a week. Deep conditioners help to add moisture to your hair, which will leave it less frizzy. This will help tame your hair and keep it healthy. If you can’t use it once a week, even if you use it every once in a while, it will benefit your hair.

If your hair is still frizzy, a good hair cut can help tame the frizz. Everyone has a different type of hair, and your hair stylist can help by knowing how to cut your hair. There are different cuts that can change your level of frizz. Tell them that you want to minimize your frizz and they will be able to cut your hair right.

In today’s world, it can be hard to find a place where you can get a safe tattoo. There are many inexperienced tattoo artists that don’t know what they’re doing as far as safety. Tattoos can be very dangerous, causing infection and other problems, if certain precautions aren’t taken. What can you do to make sure you receive a safe tattoo?Ask people that you personally know about what tattoo artists they recommend. If they have gotten a tattoo, ask them if they’ve had any problems with their tattoos and if they like the work their tattoo artist did on their tattoo. You may want to check out the tattoo artist they recommend along with others in your area.
It’s perfectly fine to go to the shop and ask questions. Tell them that you’re looking into getting a tattoo. They should be able to show you example of their work; ask if you can see any examples. If they can’t show you any examples, it may mean that they are inexperienced, and you should not go to them.
If you are able, when you’re at the tattoo parlor, observe the artists. They should be using gloves and sterile needles. If they don’t pull the needles out of a sealed bag, they probably aren’t using a sterile needle. This is one of the best ways you can get an infection from a tattoo. Make sure the artist you’re looking into uses sterile needles.
Research online, also. You can probably find reviews about certain tattoo parlors online and, if they have a website, they may explain the procedure they use. The biggest thing you should look for is experience and that they keep their equipment sterile.

When we go to the mall, a shirt can cost us $40, or a pair of pants can cost us $70. You don’t have to pay a lot of money for good quality clothing. What are some stores that can save you money on clothes?

Many people are put off by the idea of used clothing, but you can sometimes find brand new clothes at a thrift store, such as Goodwill. Often times, you can find clothes that are almost new, but in great condition for a very low price. It’s actually quite easy to find name brand clothes such as Hollister, American Eagle, or Aeropostale at a store such as Goodwill, and they are all at a much more reasonable price.

Department stores, such as Wal-Mart, can help save you money on clothing, also. The clothing sold at these stores are cute and stylish, but at a much lower cost. You could probably get four shirts here with the same amount of money you would spend on one shirt at the mall.

If you have to go to the mall, seek out stores such as JCPenny or Maurices. Maurices is slightly more expensive than JCPenny, but they often times have sales. JCPenny has sales quite often, also, where you can buy a pair of pants for $25 compared to Hollister where they often cost double that, and for the same quality.

It can be difficult to find quality clothing at a low cost, but not impossible. Just because you don’t have name brand clothing, doesn’t mean that you can’t be stylish, and just because you can get clothing at a lower cost, doesn’t mean you can’t splurge on name brand clothing every now and then, especially when they’re having a sale. If they are having a sale, try only looking at the sale’s rack so you don’t spend extra money on other items.

With the products produced today, it is difficult to find products that are healthy for your hair. Even though there are many dangerous products for your hair, there are plenty of ways to avoid damage. What can you do to keep healthy hair?
One of the best ways to keep your hair healthy is to avoid chemically altering your hair. It’s nice to change your hair color or get a perm every now and then, but every time you do this, it damages your hair more and more. Try to stay away from chemicals that will damage your hair.
Along with chemicals, avoid using a hot tool every day. Using a curling iron or straightener every now and then won’t cause much damage to your hair. If you use a curling iron, straight iron, or blow dryer set to high every day, you risk receiving heat damage, which will cause your hair to become frizzy and unhealthy. If you must use a blow dryer, try to buy one that you can set to cool. This takes a bit longer to dry, but it will help you avoid heat damage.
Natural shampoos and conditioners are much healthier for your hair than regular shampoo. There are several companies that now make their products with natural ingredients while they still make the type of shampoo you would normally use. You may pay a bit more for this, but it’s worth keeping your hair healthy for.
Get a trim about every six months. This will get rid of the split ends and keep the ends of your hair healthy. When you get split ends, they break off, sometimes at the same rate that your hair grows, so it’s hard for your hair to gain any length. When you get a trim, it gets rid of those split ends and allows your hair to grow before the split ends return.

A hair tie is such a simple thing. Almost a rubber-band, it can be used for numerous purposes. Most of us know how to put up a simple ponytail, but there are plenty of other hairstyles that can be created with one simple hair tie.

A hair tie can be used to hold up a simple messy bun. Decide where you want your bun to sit on your head, whether it’s on the top of your head or a low side bun. Brush all your hair to the area of your head that you want your messy bun to sit. Wrap the hair tie around your hair once. Then twist all of your hair until it starts curling. Allow your hair to curl until it has turned into a bun. Randomly tie the hairpiece around pieces of the bun. To finish the bun, tug on pieces of the bun to loosen it and give it a messy look.

Another simple hairstyle that can be made from one hair tie is a braid. Brush and gather your hair at the base of your scull. You can wear this hairstyle either in the middle or to either side. Divide your hair into three even sections. Take one outside section and cross it over the middle section so that it is now in the middle. Then take the opposite outside section and cross it over the new middle piece. Alternate this way until you get to the end of your hair, then fasten with your hair tie.

There are plenty of other hairstyles you can do with one simple hair tie. These hairstyles aren’t only easy but they are cute, especially when you’re on the go. You can try to experiment with different hairstyles until you find ones that are easy enough and work for you. With one simple hair tie, you can make a variety of hairstyles.

The world of blogging is growing and it is becoming more important for women and men to have an outlet. Many have opinions and information to share about a wide variety of subjects. For the fashionable man and woman, starting a blog might be logical step in creating their voice. The only problem is that in the cyberspace world, getting an audience for your fashion blog is much easier said than done. There are millions of people all over the world who have a voice, so getting the rest of the world to find your voice is not always easy.

If you are interested in getting your readership up, then you need to consider a new and inventive approach. This means using survey software as a part of your blog in order to get the blog in the direction it needs to go. For instance, everyone might be writing fashion reviews of celebrities on the red carpet. That’s a niche that everyone seems to have covered, so breaking into that market could be an issue. However, through the use of customizable online surveys you might find that there are plenty of people who have stumbled upon your blog and were hoping to find information about how to copy that red carpet style for less. You might find out that what people are interested in is not the fashion of celebs but how to remake that fashion for pennies on the dollar.

Once the research is in you can start gearing your blog to a niche market and watch your blogging numbers grow. People will be attracted to that niche market. From there you can begin to start looking into advertising on your site and you can think about getting in guest bloggers and making your blogging brand grow. But all of this starts with feedback and that starts with a good survey.

Makeup is a way in which women accent certain features. We wear mascara to accent our eyes, blush to accent our cheekbones, and lip gloss to draw attention to our lips. If you wear your makeup right, it should look natural, but there are different ways to wear our makeup in different social settings.

When you go to work or to school, a simple layer of makeup should be worn. Try a light layer of eyeliner, a natural color of eye shadow, and a layer of mascara on the eyes. Lightly dust blush on your cheekbones to accent your cheeks. You can brush an even lighter coat of blush on your forehead and chin to add color to your face. For your lips, try not to add much color but rather wear lip-gloss or Chap Stick.

When you are attending a party or dance, try making your makeup a bit darker. Many dances have the lights turned down, so if you make your makeup darker, it will be more noticeable in the dark. Your party makeup should not be as dark unless the lights will be turned down at the party. Try darkening your eyeliner and your blush by putting on a thinker layer. As for you lips, try a darker color of lipstick or colored lip-gloss.

For a date, try a sweet look. Wear a light coating of an unnatural color of eye shadow. Don’t wear it too dark where it will distract away from your face. Keep your blush light and instead of lipstick, wear lip-gloss to keep your lips moist and soft.

There are many different activities and situations in which you may change your makeup. For more formal activities, try a darker look. You can adjust your makeup based on the color of your outfit. For more relaxed activities, wear lighter colored makeup, and not so much. You might also want to try to switch up your makeup every time you attend a different type of activity to create a variety in your makeup, and different features will be accented each time.

As a woman with curves, you want clothing that fits you well. If you have to find something that you can wear, but that doesn’t really fit you right, you’re going to be uncomfortable in it and it’s not going to feel as good as something that’s been designed to fit you. Fortunately for women who are upset about this kind of problem, there are some companies who are starting to understand that not all women are built the same way. That’s great news for people who are tired of being uncomfortable and who don’t want to have to deal with clothing that never fits them the proper way. Shopping isn’t nearly as much fun when you can’t find the kinds of things you really like.

Apple Bottoms is one company that has heard the cries of women who want something comfortable to wear that still looks great. You shouldn’t have to choose one or the other, and should be able to get both without compromising. Too many companies just put out what they want to make, and they expect women to find a way to fit into it. If there are companies that don’t do this, there’s a huge market share just waiting for them. They can exploit that area of the market and show women that they can be beautiful with their curves, and they don’t have to try to fit into clothing that hides them.

If you don’t want to hide your curves, Apple Bottoms are where it’s at. They allow you to be who you are and to look great, and they’re high quality, so you can wear them for a long time. Try a few pairs on until you find the size that’s best for you, and enjoy the great way they make you look and feel. Women shouldn’t have to hide who they are just because a clothing maker doesn’t want to help them out.

There are thousands of hairstyles for many different types of hair. Perhaps you are considering a new look. What can you do to get the perfect hairstyle?

Begin by researching different types of hairstyles. You can simply search on Google Images, or you can find websites with pictures of different hairstyles. Many of these sites have tips on what to tell your stylist before they begin cutting your hair. If you want a cut, make sure the one you decide on is shorter or the same length as your hair at the moment. Perhaps your inspiration comes from a friend. Try to get a picture of their hairstyle so when you go to get your hair cut, your beautician has a guide.

When you go to a salon, make sure to bring your picture with you. The best way to get the cut you want is to bring a picture in with you. Even when you only want to go in to get your hair colored, try to bring in a picture of what you want. If you can’t find a picture, try your best to explain what you want to the person working with your hair.

Don’t complain to your beautician, but be polite. If the hairstyle isn’t exactly what you want, you can try asking them to trim a little here and there. Most hairstyles don’t look exactly the same when you cut it as it does when you style it. Keep this in mind when your hair is being cut. Your stylist will do their best to cut your hair the way you want it, but don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t look exactly like the picture.

The last step is to style it correctly. Play around with your hair until you find the perfect way to style it. There are plenty of ways to style the same hair cut. You may not find exactly how you like it for a few weeks after your trip to the salon, and if you don’t like it, you can always get it colored or cut again.

We see fashion statements almost every day. We see it from celebrities in magazines, our peers, and sometimes random people. You’re ready to make a fashion statement of your own. What can you do to make a statement? What if you’re having trouble with your fashion statement because you don’t have the money? Whatever the reason, if you want a way to make a cheap, easy fashion statement, you may want to consider a piercing.

If this sounds like a good idea, you want to first consider where you want this piercing. If you’re searching for a true fashion statement you want it to be noticeable, and not just the design of the jewelry. You want your piercing to stand out.

Surface piercings are probably the easiest piercing when it comes to fashion statements because you can put them anywhere you want. You want to place it in a comfortable place, though, where it won’t get in the way or catch on things easily. For example, if you, for some reason, wanted to pierce a place on your arm, it may get in the way of your clothing and easily catch on long sleeved shirts. Try putting it somewhere you can more easily control it.

Another type of piercing you may consider is a double piercing. Many people have double piercings in their ears, so that won’t really make you stand out very much, but if you, for example, double pierced your nose, you would most likely stand out much more.

You don’t even have to have a new piercing to stand out. A simple piece of jewelry can help you stand out significantly. For example, you can put a funky nose ring in, but if your nose isn’t pierced, you may have to spend the money on that before you buy a nose ring.

The choice is yours. If you don’t like the idea of piercings, try something else such as a crazy hair cut. The best way to stand out is to be different, so be creative and come up with something different.

As human beings we want attention. One way we get noticed is either being pleasing to the eye, or the exact opposite. Choose your pick. How do you want to stand out? Do you want to be noticed for your unbelievable beauty or for your horrible sense in fashion? What can you do to stand out?

Creating your own look is one of the best ways to stand out. Who knows, you may even start a trend. You don’t have to be a fashion designer to start your own look, just mix and match differently than everyone else. The whole point of sticking out is that you’re different, but don’t be too different where you’re not yourself.

If you want to be really different, but aren’t sure how, you can start by altering clothing to create your own look rather than trying to start from scratch. It doesn’t matter the brand of the jeans or the design on the pockets, you can go to any lengths to cut and paste to create your own unique look.

Fashion isn’t only about the clothing you wear, but about your hair and makeup styles. These are both simply altered. You can find practically any color you want in either hair or makeup. Hair is fairly simple to alter, whereas it takes only a few minutes to change your makeup. Whatever color or style you want, it’s yours. You can do anything you want with your hair and makeup much easier than with your clothing. Even if you wear the same clothes as everyone else, if the rest of your style is different, you will be noticed.

Learn to be creative! That’s the best way to create your own look. It’s perfectly fine to take inspiration from others, but try to be original. You don’t have to be 100% original, but you can try altering past trends to start a new one. Not everyone’s ideas are straight from their own mind. You have to get your inspiration from somewhere; so don’t feel guilty if your ideas don’t come directly from your creativity.

A great way to add a little edge to your look is to add something oversized. Taking a t-shirt and jeans, a sweater over leggings or a simple summer dress and adding something disproportionate makes an ordinary look stand out.
An easy piece to oversize is your bag. Oversized bags have gone in and out of style over time, but they always stand out. When adding an oversized bag as an accessory, go with a bag in a bold color. Make sure it stands out as a fashion piece, not because you can fit your entire life inside of it. Be careful of using an extremely large bag if you are short as if may make you look much shorter.
Another option is to add a large piece of jewelry. Avoid the usual diamonds and pearls and go for something more out of the ordinary. Try a set of giant plastic bangles or a stack of thick necklaces. If you seek out boutiques or the websites of small designers, you can find some truly unique jewelry such as knitted necklaces, bold fabric necklaces or jewelry made from recycled objects. You might try creating your own by stringing large beads on strips of old fabric. Just be careful that it looks creative, not just crafty.
Also try using oversized pieces in your hair. You can add a large bow, a bold scarf or a brightly colored flower. Often you can find these decorative pieces at a craft store or an accessory store. Find a decoration you like at a craft store and simply hot glue it to a clip or a headband to make your own accessory. Try adding a bright colored flower to a white or black outfit and adding white or sheer flowers to a brightly colored outfit. Remember, even when the accessory is bold, it is still meant to add to the outfit, not overtake it!

If you’re hunting for a outfit that will stand out this summer, look no further than your local thrift store. They are a treasure chest of pieces that may look a bit similar to things you once saw in your grandmother’s closet.
Most good thrift stores will have a wide assortment of silk or polyester blouses, the type you may see elderly women wearing under suit jackets to church. Don’t be discouraged by where they came from! Search for just the right one and it can be an excellent addition to your wardrobe. Look for one that is made from real silk and has not taken a lot of ware. Also look for fun flowered patterns or a neat ruffle around the chest, collar or sleeves. For summer, look for a light blue, white or eggshell color that is easy to accessorize.
Once you find some patterns you like, try them on for a good fit. Though the original owner may have worn it tightly fitted, you may want to find one that fits loosely and drapes. Think of it more like a peasant top than a buttoned down fitted shirt.
It’s what you wear the top with that will take it from Grandma’s closet to the beach or the bar. Pair this flowy silk top with a pair of high-waisted black or dark-wash jean shorts, tucking the top into the shorts and pulling it out partly to exaggerate the bulk of the shirt. You can add a thick belt around the shorts to extenuate the waistline. You might also try a flowered miniskirt or leggings on the bottom with the shirt untucked. Wear with a pair of metallic flats or ankle boots for a more dressy look. For accessories, consider adding an oversized floppy hat or a large flower to the hair.
If you are really stumped for a top, check out vintage stores on bay!

One way to make a statement is to break those standard rules of fashion that the average person learns to follow. One basic rule is to always pair a print with a solid. We use this rule when dressing for the office, for example pairing a patterned blouse with a solid skirt. Men use prints on their ties to add to a solid colored dress shirt. These rules are fine to live by in a work setting, but if you want to make a statement this weekend, try breaking the rules and pairing a print with a print.
Flower prints are great to pair with each other. You can match a blouse with a subtle flower print with a miniskirt that has a bright and bold flower print. Look for skirts that have thick stripes and pair them with printed tops. Add a large, solid colored belt to add a line of separation between the two. You can also do the opposite and a pair a striped shirt with a mini-skirt that has a flower pattern.
Many prints are done in a slightly different shade of the same color as the garment and these are great to pair with other prints that mix colors. If you are apprehensive about mixing prints, try a subtle print first.
There are many ways to pair prints and even a few rules to follow when you do. Don’t be afraid to mix flowers with stripes or stripes with plaid. The general reason that we learn not to mix prints is that they often compete with each other, so by choosing to mix prints you accept that they will be competing. Knowing this, try to limit what else the prints compete with. This means using colors that work well together and limiting accessories. Stick to metallic accessories and go for solid colors when choosing a bag or shoes. Above all, be confident in your outfit!

It is easy enough to add an exciting accessory to an outfit, but to truly stand out among the fashionable, you have to be willing to do something bold. To make a statement with you hair, go beyond the accessories and get a cut that demands attention.
Are you willing to let go of some of your locks? A great style to try with curly hair is a modified mohawk. Have you stylist part a section of hair about two inches wide down the center of your head from the forehead all the way to the neck. You can play around with different sized sections, but remember to start larger as you can always go thinner. Trim the remaining hair on the sides down to the head. You can also use a trimmer to buzz the hair to an even length. With the remaining section of hair, trim it to the length you desire. If you hair curls well, you can leave the hair two to three inches long and then style it to curl. Be sure not to leave the hair too long. Think of a traditional spiked mohawk when the hair stands straight up on the head. You can achieve the same effect with the volume of the curls, as long as you don’t cut them so long that they fall to the sides. Leave the front section a bit longer so that the front curls can fall towards the face.
Use a strong gel or mousse and twist curls around your finger to tighten them up. For a truly defined look, allow the curls to dry naturally and then go over each curl with a curling iron. This will decrease the frizz and give you perfect curls. Once your curls are complete, you can style them so that they fall to one side in the front.
Take a risk and try this look; you will be certain to draw some great attention!

Looking to make a statement? Mix something sexy and risque with a simple outfit to get some attention while still staying classy. You can make a basic outfit a little sexy by adding lingerie!
Lingerie has some very distinctive features such as lace edges, shiny little bows and semi-transperant elements. Traditionally, it is strictly meant for the bedroom and it’s quite taboo to wear it in public. You may think that your lingerie should be reserved only for your most intimate moments with your significant other or is meant for places like a strip club where women use it to attract sexual attention, but if you are willing to take a risk you can add it to your everyday wardrobe. You can harness this mystery combined with sex appeal, but put it to use in a way that doesn’t look cheap or trashy.
For a fairly safe outfit, use a lacy top instead of a camisole under a low-cut sweater or t-shirt. This tiny lace accent is just enough to hint at what may be hiding underneath. If you are feeling a bit more bold, wear your favorite top from you lingerie collection with an open cardigan over it. Add a tank under if the top is sheer. You can decide how much you are willing to reveal by buttoning all of the buttons, only the center button, or leaving them completely undone. You can also take this look from day to night by replacing the cardigan with a shrug, a scarf or simply adding a sparkly necklace.
Try buying a lacy nightie specifically to wear for a night out. Choose a style that is a bit longer or less sheer. You can always add a slip underneath and a pair of black tights to make it a little more conservative.
However you decide to wear your lingerie, don’t be afraid to take it out of the bedroom to catch a little extra attention.

The truth is, it doesn’t matter how wonderful the outfit is; if it doesn’t fit well, it doesn’t look good. This is a simple fact that can make or break any outfit you put on. Every single person has their own unique size, shape and measurements and these are the most important things to consider when piecing together your wardrobe. Whatever you wear, be sure to get a great fit.
Often the clothes you pick up off the rack in the store will not fit you perfectly. Particularly if you have a unique size or any unusual features to your shape, finding a great fit right off the rack may be unheard of. This is why a good seamstress or tailor can be your very best friend. As long as an item of clothing is close to a good fit, a few alterations can take it from “good” to “great”.
When purchasing items that you intend to have altered, don’t ever buy them too small. The simplest rule of sewing is that it is easy enough to take away but nearly impossible to add. You can have sleeves and pants shortened. This is the most commonly used alteration, especially for those who are shorter than average. You can also take in the waist of a dress or the back of a jacket. This can be used to extenuate a waist line or to make a piece that is a bit too big fit just right. You can also reduce the size of hips, shoulders and the chest area with just a few simple stitches.
You will find that it is useful to have a good relationship with the person who does your alterations. Ask their advice about the fit of clothes and where they can make improvements. Count on them to be honest about pieces that simply cannot be improved. Overall, invest in a good fit- it’s worth it.

A little accent can make a big difference if you choose a unique color. Often people reach for dark shades, such as black, brown and gray, when dressing. Those who appreciate fashion might reach for brighter shades, such as pinks, reds and purples. If you want to really stand out in the crowd, then seek out colors that you rarely see in clothes.
Adding a few bold colored piece to your wardrobe can turn nearly any outfit into one that demands attention. Consider adding pieces such as shoes, bags and scarves in vibrant colors. Also follow the rule that a color that matches nothing, matches everything.
Look for shoes that are bubblegum pink or hunter orange. You can pair pink heels with a basic black dress or wear orange boots with simple black leggings and a sweater. You can also find heels that are yellow, purple or lime green. Wear them with a mini skirt or skinny jeans.
Bags come in a variety of unique colors, though they may be a bit hard to find. A bright red leather messenger bag is a great addition to any outfit and is still subtle enough that it could be used in a professional daytime setting.
Scarves are another great way to add bold colors to an outfit. Look for a brightly colored scarf or a unique pattern. Be sure that your scarf does not compete with the rest of your outfit, such as patterns on a shirt or skirt. Don’t be afraid to wear your scarf all day, whether you are inside or outside. If you want to keep the color to a minimum, you can tie a brightly colored scarf on the handle of your bag for an understated accent.
When adding bright colors, add only one at a time and make sure that you are not matching them to other things. Your colored piece should stand out as unique, not a perfect match between your hat, belt and shoes.

The cloche hat is a great find because it comes in so many styles and can be worn in so many ways. Regardless of the details of the hat or the outfit, it can add a special something to an outfit.
Cloche hats for women are a structured hat that fits close to the head and generally has a small brim that angles slightly down towards the face. They are called “cloche” because of their bell-shape; “cloche” being the French word for “bell”. They come in a variety of sizes shapes and materials. They may be made from fur, felt, wool or velour. Depending on the material, they can be worn appropriately in any season.
When choosing a cloche hat, try to just focus on what you are attracted to. Unlike shopping for other accessories, you should ignore what might match and outfit. Your hat should match your personality. If you want one that is versatile, look for shades of black or gray. Seek out your favorite accents such as a flower, a big bow or a unique ribbon. You can even change these accents in order to match them with the outfit you are wearing the hat with.
Pair your cloche hat with a great scarf that adds to the look. You can pair a plain colored hat with a patterned or plaid scarf. Be careful not to use contrasting patterns or too match your accessories too closely. For a truly unique look, pair a traditionally dressy hat, one with a large detail, with a casual outfit such as jeans and a sweater. The contrast of styles is unique and intriguing.
The best places to find a unique cloche hat are good consignment shops, antique stores or vintage sites online. You may even find one in your grandmother’s collection. These hats gained popularity in America around the 1920′s and there are still many that survive from that time.

Voted for the third year in a row by Oprah, as one of her favorite things, the Philip Stein “feel good” watch is a must for the fashion conscious in 2011. Designed to enhance and strengthen the bodies own natural energy field a Philip Stein watch will give the wearer a overall general feeling of wellness .

Apart from feeling good, it looks awesome as well. The design is sleek and modern and with the dual time zone faces, it makes a great accessory for seasoned travelers or those who work with different time zones around the world. Interchangeable straps and a wide variety in designs mean that you can adapt the look to suit your outfit and remain trendy in any gear.

The technology is advanced and new to the traditional watches we have become accustomed to. There are two main technologies used in these beautiful watches. Electromagnetic frequency, using electromagnetic fields introduced in 2003 and the newer “natural frequency technology” introduced in 2008. In layman’s terms, these watches sense and pick up our own body’s bio-fields or energy fields and sends a signal back telling our bodies to relax.

After all the techno jargon is said and done, the watch is said to make the wearer more resilient and resistant to stress. In our fast paced chaotic world where stress related illnesses are at an all-time high, this is the perfect, if not essential, gift for anyone in a stressful job. After all we all need to feel more centered and grounded and in harmony with the earth and this is the core result of a Philip Stein watch.

Tattoos have been a part of fashion perhaps even longer than clothing has. They are used to make a permanent statement on a person’s body. Lately people have realized that a tattoo does not have to be big and bold to get noticed. You can use a tiny tattoo to make a strong statement.
Tattoos that are smaller than normal are often a good choice for people who are not allowed to have visible tattoos in the workplace. You can hide them on the back of your neck, on your feet or on the inside of your wrist. Other popular places to get a small tattoo are on fingers, toes, ears or even the inner side of the lips.
There are many common tattoos such as flowers, butterflies, hearts and Chinese symbols. If you are looking for something more creative, consider the beauty of every day objects. Punctuation, for example, can be beautiful in isolation. A question mark may symbolize a period of uncertainty or embracing your curiosity. An exclamation point may be a display of your quick wit. On the wrist, you can use both wrists together to create complementing or contrasting tattoos. Consider the significance of quotes on either wrist with yourself in the center. Punctuation make a great tattoo because it can fit anywhere. You could have a piece of punctuation on each finger and only the most discerning eye would notice.
You can also use nontraditional colors to create a unique tattoo. White tattoos have gained popularity because they are subtle yet beautiful. Look for a white ink that has a bit of shimmer to it and it may only appear in certain light.
Part of what makes a tattoo a wonderful expression is that it is meaningful to the wearer. You might have a word, a phrase or an image that means nothing to others but holds great significance in your life. What you perceive is what makes it beautiful.

Whether it is a first date or girl’s night out, the classic smokey eye look is great for any nighttime event. To achieve this look, start with a good foundation. It should match your skin tone or be just slightly darker for night. Curl your eyelashes to create a great curve and then line your eyelid with black eyeliner. Liquid eyeliner works well for a very dark, bold look. On the lower lid, continue the line slightly above the crease, following the natural crease of your eyelid. Angling this line slightly upwards creates a more dramatic look.
Next, you want to start adding eye shadow. Adding eye shadow in layers will create a more dynamic look. Start by covering the entire eyelid with a light, shimmery silver or gray shade of eye shadow. Carry the shadow completely to the brow line on the top and to the outer edge of the brow on the side. Be sure to also cover the inside corner of the eye and slightly below. Keeping this area light will make the eyes appear more open. Carry the color around the edge of the lower lid.
Once you have a base layer of shadow, add an area of darker gray in the outer corner of the eyelid carrying it slightly outside of the edge of the eye. Follow the angle of the liner, slightly upward. If you want to add color, try to rich purple or blue shade in the center of the eye. Start just slightly outside the inner eye and fade into the dark area in the corner. Carry this color to the brow bone, leaving the area between the brow bone and the brow line light.
To complete your look, go over the eye liner with black eye shadow on a small angle brush. The powder of the shadow will hold the color in place. Finally, add two coats of black mascara on both top and bottom.

Fashion is one of those things that we worry about everyday. Do I look good? Does she look cuter in those jeans than I look in mine? How will I stand out today? Many of us spend too much time and money on our fashion. If you insist on spending your time worrying about fashion, don’t spend the money. There are endless ways to save money and still look good.

The first thing you need to do is go through your closet and throw out all your old clothes and clothes you don’t wear anymore. Don’t just throw them out, but donate them to Goodwill or give them to a friend. Just because the clothes don’t look good on you doesn’t mean they won’t look good on someone else.

When you take your shopping trip, do not bring a credit card. Using a credit card will just cause you to overspend. Instead, bring cash so you have a set amount of money to spend. Do not bring more cash than you intend to spend, or you will spend it.

Go to stores like Goodwill or Walmart that have inexpensive clothing. Don’t think that just because Goodwill is a thrift store and sells used clothing, you won’t find anything good. Sometimes you can find brand new name brand clothing for a lot less. Even if it is used, no one will notice.

Buy clothes that match and that you can mix up. If you buy a ton of patterned shirts that won’t match anything, what’s the point in that? Try buying clothes that will match so you don’t have to go back and buy something that will match.

Just because you’re shopping cheap doesn’t mean you don’t need accesories. Accesories will just add to your outfit and make it look cuter. You still have to keep in mind to not overspend. You can buy cheep accesories that are still cute. For accesories you can look at Rue 21 or Claire’s.

You want your fashion to stand out but you’re not sure how. Buying name brand clothes and wearing the same thing everyone else does won’t make you stand out. In fact, it will just make you blend in. If you really want to stand out, you have to be brave and stray away from what’s considered normal. Don’t let cliques that are considered not normal fool you though. You want to be 100% unique.

How can you be completely unique? There are so many people that believe their fashion is unique when really it’s just the same as someone else’s, but it’s just not normal. The way that you can make your fashion unique, is to come up with your own ideas.

Designing your own clothes can be interesting and fun. Designing your own clothes does not mean that you have to draw out every outfit and learn to sew. Instead, you can alter clothing you already own by cutting, sewing, painting, etc.

One idea is to design your own socks. This does not mean that you actually have to buy the fabric and sew your own socks. If you buy a pack of white socks you can do anything you want with them. You can dye them however you want, paint them, sew buttons on, glue googly eyes on them, or anything else you can come up with. Your socks will be 100% unique and no one else will own another pair like them.

Projects like this can be done with anything, not just socks. You can cut and paste whatever you want together and you will never fail to be unique. You can paint anything you want on a t-shirt or a pair of pants. You can tie dye clothing, too, and that’s something that no one can recreate to look just like yours. The only way to be 100% unique is to use your own ideas and not someone else’s.

There are many people that aren’t afraid to take a step away from normality. If you’re one of these people, the only way to show it is to become 100% unique. There’s only one way to achieve that level of uniqueness and that’s to do it all yourself.

Instead of going to a salon to get your hair colored, buy your own at home color and do it yourself. If you really want to be unique, don’t just settle with one color, but buy a variety of colors and come up with your own way to color your hair. If you’re nervous about coloring your hair you can ask a friend to do it.

This is the same with hair cuts, too. If you ask someone at a salon to cut your hair, chances are they’ve done this same exact hair cut to someone else. If you really want to be unique, you have to come up with a hairstyle no one’s seen before. Sure, you’ll receive weird looks on the street, but at least you know that you are 100% unique.

This same principle can be applied to clothing as well. Instead of buying name brand clothes, design your own. This doesn’t mean you have to learn to sew, it just means you need to know how to be creative. One way to design your own clothes is to buy a plain t-shirt and alter it to your liking. You can cut, paint, glue, etc. to make this t-shirt completely unique. There are also ways to print words on to t-shirts or other articles of clothing.

These are just a few examples of how to become completely unique. You don’t really have to dye your hair pink, blue, green and purple to be unique. Everyone is unique in their own way, but if you’re looking to become completely unique as far as fashion goes, the best way is to design your own fashion.

Lady Gaga is one of the most popular music artists in the United States today. With several number one hits, is it her music we love, or her fashion? Of course we love the beat to “Just Dance” and her music video “Bad Romance” but she is also admired by many for her fashion sense. Along with her number one hits, it is said that Lady Gaga had the number one fashion statement of 2010 with her infamous meat dress.

As disgusting as it sounds, Lady Gaga did actually wear a dress made of meat to the MTV Video Music Awards, but that was after she wore a meat bikini on the cover of Vogue. She even had a matching hat, purse, and shoes to go along with the dress, which were all also made of meat. It is said that the dress was voted as the most iconic outfit of 2010.

She then went on the Ellen DeGeneres show and said that she did not mean to offend anyone, especially vegans or vegetarians. As much controversy that this dress caused, Gaga was simply showing the world that she has to stand up for things, and that we need to fight for our right or we will only be left with as much rights as the meat on our bones have. She then tells the world that she is not a piece of meat.

To some people this fashion statement was offensive. To others, Lady Gaga is a hero. She was simply showing her feelings through a piece of clothing, if that’s what we want to call the dress. Lady Gaga is an expert at not being normal as far as fashion goes. Some people respect her for this while others don’t. This meat dress is just one example of Gaga’s many fashion statements.

Making a fashion statement with jewelry is probably one of the easiest ways to make a fashion statement. There’s so much variety of jewelry that you can make work with your outfit. Using jewelry to make a fashion statement is a way you can stand out without buying a whole new wardrobe.

With jewelry you can chose from a variety of styles. Whether its simple metal jewelry or bulky plastic jewelry, you can always add jewelry to an outfit.

Wearing rings can add to your outfit in many ways. You can choose a few simple rings, or a variety of large and small rings. You have ten fingers that you can wear a piece of jewelry on.

Necklaces can add a lot to an outfit. Depending on the top you are wearing, you will pick a different necklace for each. Necklaces, like any type of jewelry, can be simple, or over the top. You can always wear multiple necklaces at once, or just a simple necklace to add to your outfit.

Earrings work either formally or casually which is a good thing. You can even use the same pair with a t-shirt or with a dress. With a formal dress you may want to wear earrings that dangle which will look slightly more attractive, but any type of earring can add to any outfit.

Bracelets do a lot to add to an outfit, too. Bracelets are a good way to express yourself. There are so many different types of bracelets you can buy with different sayings on them, plus they’re another piece of jewelry that you can wear with anything.

There are many things you can add to an outfit to make it look better. Adding jewelry to an outfit is probably the easiest way to spice up an outfit, or add that little extra to turn heads. It’s also good because it can be added to any outfit.

Many people ask the question “How do I start my own fashion trend?” Obviously someone starts every fashion trend. Usually it’s a celebrity or a group of people, but there are ways that you can start your own trend.

Turn to the blogs. Don’t read magazines for the latest trends. Once the trends are being written about in the magazines, they’re already beginning to die out. If you read blogs you will know what fashion trends are starting right when they start instead of waiting for the magazines to catch on.

Watch T.V. for fashion advice. T.V. shows have an impact on what we wear. If you watch popular shows like Glee and Gossip Girls you can see what the characters are wearing and add your own twist to it.

Make sure the popular people notice your trend and convince them to adopt your trend. If you are popular already, and I don’t just mean in high school, then you won’t have problem getting your trend noticed. Make sure people see that your trend is different and that it’s noticeable. That’s the thing about trends is that you want the trend to be noticed so it actually turns in to a trend.

Do the opposite of what is in style. This is not the same as these other tips. In fact, it’s pretty much the opposite. If you do the opposite of what’s in style, the type of clothes you are wearing will eventually come back in style and you will be known to be ahead of everyone else in the world of fashion.

There are countless ways to begin a trend. The main thing, though, is to get that trend noticed. Make sure that its something people will catch on to. Even if they don’t catch on right away, they probably will eventually. The world goes through trends fast, and they change quickly. Once someone notices the beginning of your trend, others will catch on.

Sometimes it’s difficult to actually catch on to a trend. It can be a while before you realize that a certain trend is actually a trend. There are many ways that you can catch on to a trend before other people do. Particularly study season trends because they are easy to get a heads up on.

Read magazines and web sites. Fashion magazines always have articles about the upcoming season’s new looks and trends. Web sites will usually list the new trends before the magazines do, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the Internet. Researching fashion is a good way to know what trends are coming up in the new season.

Be aware of certain colors. When it comes to fashion, colors are very important depending on the season. Vibrant, bright colors are usually for the warmer months, while darker browns and reds are for the cooler months. Every year has a different idea of what colors are in style, though, so don’t assume that dark blue will be in style every winter.

Add seasonal touches. There are certain things that never go out of style like scarves, sunglasses, tights, and handbags. Add these things to your wardrobe so you can wear them in any season.

Accessories such as jewelry can be worn for any season. Not only are accessories good for any season, but they add to your wardrobe and make it look just a little bit nicer. You can buy certain accessories that can go with any outfit during any season so you don’t just need a heads up on the season trends, but can wear those accessories any time.

It can be difficult to spot fashion trends right away. Follow advice given in magazines and online to make the best decisions about your fashion. The best thing to do is to know what will be the trends for the upcoming season so you can get a heads up before everyone else.

It can be difficult to follow fashion trends. It is especially difficult when you get into college, because every trend is different at every college. You can still get a good idea of trends by following a few simple steps.

Be observant. You have to notice what is fashionable at your school if you want to be known as fashionable also. Every school is different, so you have to know what people at your school are wearing in order to be fashionable among them. Don’t pay attention to what is fashionable at another school, because that does not necessarily mean it is fashionable at the school you are attending.

Ignore anything you don’t like. Being fashionable isn’t all about following trends. You need a little bit of yourself reflected in what you wear. You don’t have to follow every single trend to be fashionable. If you really don’t like something then don’t waste the money on it. Only wear what you like and what you are comfortable in.

Notice the trend when the trend begins. If you are one of the first people to wear something when that trend begins, then you will be known as one of the fashionable students. Wear it before it becomes super popular so that you’re not beginning to wear it right before it stops being popular.

Invest in a basic wardrobe. We all know that college students don’t have money. If you have basic colors, when a certain pattern comes into style, instead of buying multiple shirts to satisfy that style, you can buy a cheap scarf. You can then mix up the scarf with many outfits and still be in style.

Because every trend is different at every college, it can be difficult to catch on to certain trends. The key is to pay attention to the trends at your own school. That way, people will notice you as one of the fashionable people.

It’s not easy to follow fashion trends. With so many trends that switch so quickly, it’s hard to keep up. Being fashionable isn’t all about following trends. Yes, trends are part of it, but you have to decide your own fashion for yourself.

Just because something is in style doesn’t mean that you have to wear it. A lot of things that are in style are really cute and we do want to spend the money to buy them. Then there are things that aren’t necessarily terrible, but they just aren’t us. Why would we spend money on something we don’t like? Do we go with style or what we’re comfortable in?

Fashion is about expressing ourselves. We don’t have to be 100% unique in our style, but we should be comfortable in what we wear. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it.

Find clothes that fit your body type. Just because skinny jeans are in style doesn’t mean they will look good on us. Even if we aren’t a model, we can make ourselves look like one if we choose the right clothes. Buy clothes that look good on you. You don’t have to follow every trend, but there’s sure to be one trend that you look good in.

Certain trends shouldn’t be followed depending on where you live. If you live in a place that’s hot all year round you probably don’t want to be wearing warm fuzzy boots, even though the magazines say they’re in style. This also applies to the activities you do in your every day life. If you walk to work you probably don’t want to be wearing high heals all day.

There are always many trends going on at one time. We don’t all have to follow every trend. Pick and choose which trends you will follow. Remember that fashion isn’t all about what’s in style but we have to be comfortable in what we wear.

While it may seem that teens are way too into fashion, children are into fashion, too. They want to have a cool jacket when they play at recess or a neat pair of boots. There are many ways you can help your child be fashionable without it costing very much money.

You can buy your child a hat to add to their outfit, and also keep them warmer at recess. Not only will your child like their new hat, but the other children will, too. You can buy them a cool fashionable one or a simple baseball cap. Baseball caps are always in style and you can get one with their favorite sports team on it. Chances are the other kids like that sports team also and the hat will look cool on them.

Buy them a pretty scarf. Especially during the cold months, your child is going to need a scarf when they go outside. Not only will a scarf keep them warm, but it will look nice on them. Make sure it’s a color they like and that it’s comfortable. Scarves are good for both boys and girls and they aren’t very expensive either.

Belts can add to an outfit, too, and don’t cost very much. If you have a girl, you can find very cute belts for girls. They are sure to get compliments. Boys can look good in belts too. Make sure to get them one with a cool belt buckle.

Children know that fashion is important and they want to look cool, too. Let your child feel special with a simple $10 accessory. Not only will they look cool, but things like hats, scarves, and belts are useful, too. Hats and scarves are essential for children in the colder months, especially at recess. Make sure that you buy them a cute fashionable one so they get compliments. Adults and teen aren’t the only ones that recognize fashion and know that it is important.
